This all-day festival was intended by the Stones as a "thank you" to their British
fans for their support. It was rumored at the time to be their last-ever show, a
belief heightened by the inclusion of so much older material from their back catalogue.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, 10cc, Don Harrison Band, Todd Rundgren's Utopia, Hot Tuna were the support acts with the Stones eventually rolling on stage
far later than advertised.
